This red wine doesn't need to be accompanied by food to be enjoyed.

Our plot of Beaujolais Villages is perched above the hamlet at an altitude of 500metres and it is for this reason that it is classified as Beaujolais Villages and not Morgon. Its light, sandy, granity 'terroir' combined with a short fermentation/maceration period produces a fruity wine that can be drunk young.
Good with aperitifs, starters and light dishes.

A heat wave summer produced a Chiroubles with a really ripe, red fruit flavour. It is ideal to drink now and for the next 2 to 3 years.
Goes well with mixed salads, starters, cold meats and fish.

We are lucky to have a plot of vines that lies just inside the Chiroubles appellation boundaries, the smallest and highest of the ten Beaujolais Crus. The Chiroubles 'terroir' of decomposed granite and sand is known to give a slightly acidy point to its wines giving interest and structure to the Gamay's fruity flavour and a very typical Beaujolais wine. The maceration/fermentation period is short in order to preserve the fruitiness and create a wine to be enjoyed young. The 2004 is now ready to drink and is an excellent example of Chiroubles unique ‘terroir’.
Marries well with most foods, and so can accompany a meal from begining to end.

"The fruit of a Beaujolais, the charm of a Burgundy" Our Morgon is planted on south-easterly exposed slopes with a sandy, granite-clay soil rich in minerals giving a well structured tannic wine with red-fruit flavours. The vines for this 'cuvée' are an average of 25 years old. They are traditionally vinified without being de-stemmed followed by a maceration/fermentation period of 10 days, all manipulation is carried out through gravity. The malo-lactic fermentation and ageing take place in cement tanks. Best consumed between two and seven years of age.
Perfect with meats cooked in sauces, game and cheese.

Les Charmes 2004, made from 70 year old vines is now ready for drinking, a well balanced wine that will go on evolving and can be laid down for at least 15 years.
Can be served from 2 years onwards with fine food.

This is our new "cuvée" aged in oak barrels. With this wine we are looking for a good mariage between the wine and the oak, delicate elegance rather than power.
Ideal aperitif wine.

Our first experiment with a completely natural "cuvée" has resulted in a elegant, delicate, fairy-like wine, light and ideal for aperitifs with at the same time a deepness of flavour that is very appealing.
